This standard enables healthcare organizations to attain Lean Healthcare Accreditation.

Healthcare organizations world-wide are recognizing the benefits of empowering their individual staff members in the successful application of lean thinking across their core processes. These organizations can now attain organization-wide accreditation as a means of achieving maximum operational and administrative efficiencies.
The Irish Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) will award the following based on the appropriate level of competency demonstrated:

The IIE will take full cognizance of the organization’s current Lean strategies, prior learning, and savings achieved as a result of in-house Lean initiatives in the awarding of the appropriate Lean standard.
